Discover a whole new world broadening with music across all ages—from infants to adults

Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Music Workshop was created based on our wish for “as many people as possible to come enjoy the wonder of music without making large efforts!” Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Music Workshop is a program with an objective to foster thriving spirits through the development of both communication and self expression skills, via the raising of interest in music and the arts. As a public cultural institute, we wish to provide a comfortable space where people can come together to enjoy music.

Festa with the King of the Forest
Let’s have a festival for welcoming our princess! Sing with smiles and dance together!

[3] 15:00-15:45 (Check-in 14:30-14:50) Age 3-8 (for deaf and hard-of-hearing participants), 1 companion (Brief Japanese sign language provided)
* If the tickets for the class [3] remain until Saturday, February 12, hearing persons can also purchase the tickets.

Workshop Concert “American Music Party”
It’s Show Time!! Are you ready to jump into the exciting world of American music?

[1] 11:00-12:00 (Open 10:30, No intermission) Age 3-6 (Pre-school children) with their caregivers and families
* The program is for pre-school children aged 3-6 years; however, babies and children aged 6 months and over are also admitted. The ticket is required per person.
* Children under 6 months of age are not admitted. Adults can enter the venue only attending with children.
[2] 14:30-15:30 (Open 14:00, No intermission) 3 years-Adults
* Children under 3 years of age are not admitted. Preschool children must enter the venue with middle school students or older persons.
* Caregivers of the 4th grade or younger elementary school students must pick-up/drop-off their children at the venue.

with My Baby—Maternity Workshop: Singing & Dancing
Let’s enjoy singing with your baby in your belly! You will experience prenatal chair ballet exercises as well.

* A midwife will be assisting the participants.

Notice to caregivers

Each workshop is prepared only for the admission ages. Small children excluding the admission ages such as participants’ siblings are not allowed to attend the workshop. Your understanding would be highly appreciated.

Notice to all workshop attendees

Please follow the below precautions. Your understanding and cooperation are much appreciated to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • Our staff members conduct temperature screening for all those who are entering the venue. If you have a fever of 37.5°C/99.5°F or higher, we ask you not to attend the workshop.
  • Refrain from coming to the venue if you seem to have symptoms such as a fever, cough, sneezing, sore throat, or simply not feeling well.
  • Bring your face mask to cover your nose, and mouth and show consideration for others.
  • Wash and disinfect your hands frequently. Hand sanitizers are placed at the reception desk.
  • We will partially change the seating arrangement and stage direction to maintain social distancing.
  • We will not have photo shooting after the workshop for the time being.

  • This workshop is conducted only in Japanese.
  • It requires some time for event insurance registration (the fee is included in the ticket) and for moving to the venue. Please allow enough time to get into the check-in place. Late-comers are not allowed to enter once the workshop starts.
  • Photography and video recording may occur during the workshop for our publicity materials.
  • The admission ages are determined as of the actual date of the event.
  • Nursing room is available. (only classes for 6-35 months)
  • Please join with easy-to-move outfits.
  • There are certain movements for a group of one child and one or more companions during the workshop. Please note that the staffs cannot assist in case 2 children participate with one companion.
  • The program is subject to change under certain circumstances.
  • Child care service is available. (Reservation and fee required. A limited number of children is accepted.)

* The tickets will be on sale by following the guidelines and other regulations set by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Please note that the ticket sales are subject to suspension depending on the restriction of the seating capacity and the sales situation.
